On May 21 it was probably the most difficult day after team's successful summit. For the third day of descent (and the 15-th day of ascent) the guys had to summon up all strength to climb the southern shoulder of Rani Peak via the steep ice wall of 300-meter overall. It is the crux where the Italian expedition 1974 used 80-meter rope ladders in 1974. The team managed to do that and on May 22 all the team in full complement practically without injuries safely returned to base camp.
We congratulate the skilled and young high-altitude climbers with their cool ascent: a new mountaineering generation has appeared in Ukraine: they can climb in high mountains and are worthy to continue Vladislav Terziul's sports feat.
The team led by Vladimir Mogila continues the hardest first climb of Simnang-Himal. On May 21 they pitched the intermediate camp C3 at 5800 m. On May 22 100 meters more are climbed. The team can't take a run because of ice-covered rocks of 80-90 degrees but the expedition steadily comes to an end. Que faire?
