First Donetsk Himalaya Expedition “Donbass Everest- 2008” from Ukraine started on April 11-th. The team consists of S. Kovalyov (leader), O. Paliy, A. Likov, I. Storozenko, O. Lavrinenko (doctor). Climbers are going to summit Everest via classic route from the Nepal’s side.
Team is planning to ascent on the summit the peace of coal, that was taken by climbers from the mine on the depth of 1280m. (Donbass is known as coal region of Ukraine).
