Sergey Bershov and Igor Svergun from Kharkov, Ukraine, started with their new expedition "Karacorum - 2008". On June 17, 2008 they departed to Kiev. The way is long: Kiev- Dubai-Karachi-Islababad by plain, two days to Scardu by bus, 1-day jeep trip and 5-7 days on foot with porters to BC to Baltoro glacier (5000 m).
The purpose of ukrainian expedition- summit on Broud Peak, 8047 m. If the weather is satisfactory the team will try Gasherbrum I (Hidden Peak), 8068 m, and Gasherbrum II, 8035 m.
