Shingu Charpa. Orest Verbitsky: "We have not reached the summit"

This history has being lasted already for two months, actually from the Piolet d'Or ceremony. Right after-theatre party Orest Verbitsky wrote a letter to Montagnes Magazine editors where he said that he was sorry about he could not visit Grenoble for no other reason than that they just had not reached the summit and he had no moral right to be among the nominees.

After long proceedings, correspondences with all interested parties MM nevertheless decided to publish Orest's statement: "We have not climbed 100 meters up to the summit as we had not enough ice gear".
Igor Chaplinsky insists that he was at the Shingu Charpa summit, but he does not show his proofs and does not get in touch with MM any more.

Orest explains the situation only as the game of politics because Igor Chaplinsky opposes the present president of Ukrainian Federation of Mountaineering (a man of Russian persuasion) while " Igor is the avid nationalist".

After long meditations and weightings Montagnes Magazine leans towards Orest's version: "Such things like deceits and jugglings are insensible condition for Piolet d'Or. Unfortunately, it seems that the Piolet d'Or brand creates them by itself".
